Material Options

Available materials include Buna-N / NBR, HSN / HNBR, and FKM / Viton®-type compounds for wireline and downhole tool service.

Buna-N / NBR is suitable for standard setting tool redress applications and general oilfield sealing service.

HSN / HNBR is preferred for more demanding downhole conditions. It offers better heat, aging, abrasion, and sour gas / H2S resistance compared with standard NBR.

FKM / Viton®-type is used for higher temperature and chemical resistance requirements in selected downhole service conditions.

Material selection should be confirmed according to tool size, pressure rating, well temperature, well fluid, and downhole environment.

Applications

Used for Baker Style wireline pressure setting tool maintenance, redress, and seal replacement before setting bridge plugs, packers, cement retainers, and other downhole tools.

Typical redress kits may include O-rings, rubber seals, sealing rings, backup rings, anti-extrusion components, and other small sealing parts depending on tool configuration.
