Specifications & Product Information

Royal Way manufactures customer-defined rubber seal rings with a PTFE coating applied to the specified surfaces. Ring geometry, elastomer construction and coating coverage are configured from the mating gland and operating conditions.

Seal and coating specified together

  • Inside diameter, outside diameter and cross-section controlled from a drawing, sample or gland dimensions
  • Coating location and coverage identified on the part drawing
  • Static, reciprocating or rotary motion reviewed with mating-surface finish and lubrication conditions
  • Coating inspection and acceptance requirements agreed for the finished ring

Information required for quotation

Please provide the seal drawing or sample, gland dimensions, motion, speed, pressure direction, service medium, temperature, mating-surface finish, lubrication, required coating area, quantity, tolerances and inspection requirements.

A PTFE-coated rubber ring is not a solid PTFE seal. Friction, wear, chemical compatibility, temperature capability and coating life must be qualified for the exact elastomer, coating system and completed assembly.
