Royal Way supplies customer-defined backup rings and anti-extrusion rings for oilfield, hydraulic and industrial sealing assemblies. Each ring is quoted from the gland, primary seal and operating requirements.
What a backup ring does
A backup ring supports the primary seal at the hardware clearance to help limit extrusion under pressure. It is selected together with the primary seal and groove, taking the pressure direction, clearance and installation method into account.
Configured for the sealing assembly
Inside diameter, outside diameter, radial section and axial thickness controlled from a drawing or measured sample
Uncut, scarf-cut, split and other drawing-defined ring configurations reviewed for assembly and installation
Material family selected after confirming the primary seal, mating surfaces, clearance, pressure direction, media and temperature
Specify prototype, replacement or production quantities with your inquiry
Information required for quotation
Please provide the gland drawing, primary-seal type and size, backup-ring dimensions, cut style, extrusion gap or hardware clearance, pressure direction and range, service media, temperature, material requirement, quantity and inspection or documentation needs.
Final material, dimensions, cut geometry, installation method and service limits are confirmed for the complete sealing assembly before production.
Send the product or equipment reference, drawing or sample, service conditions and quantity. Royal Way will review the details and ask for any other information needed for the quotation.
Use the RFQ form for the initial requirement. Drawings, photographs and sample details can also be emailed to sales@rwoiltool.com with the product name in the subject line.
