O-Ring RFQ Checklist: Size, Material and Service Inputs
Royal WayA useful O-Ring quote request connects the sealing profile to the equipment, groove and service conditions. A generic size or a photograph alone may not distinguish the correct configuration.
1. Identify the size reference
State the standard or part-number system if known, such as AS568, metric, or an equipment-specific reference. Include the inside diameter, outside diameter and cross-section when measured, and note whether the dimensions are from a new part or a worn part.
2. Describe the gland and mating parts
Provide the groove dimensions, mating bore or shaft, squeeze or clearance information when available, and the assembly type. A drawing, seal schedule, or a clear dimensional sketch helps verify the profile.
3. Share the material and service inputs
Tell us the fluid or media, operating temperature range, pressure range, motion, cycle or duty, and any chemical exposure that is known. If the material is unknown, send the original specification, sample, or equipment reference rather than assuming a compound from color.
4. Confirm quantity and delivery context
Include the required quantity, whether the request is for a replacement, spare stock, or a new design, and any packaging or identification requirements. Price, availability and lead time are confirmed against the final configuration.
5. Attach the right evidence
For the fastest review, attach the drawing, part number, sample measurements, equipment model and clear photos with a scale reference. Keep the original orientation and include close views of the sealing surfaces.
What happens next
Royal Way reviews the supplied size, interface and service information and responds with the applicable quotation route. Exact size, material, fit, price, lead time and availability remain drawing-, sample- or equipment-reference controlled.
